Potty training 101.. Potty training simplified!!

Potty-training-101-.-. -Potty -training- simplified-!-!

Commercials proudly throw diapers in the trash can, making potty training so easy. The parents have perfect hair and makeup, wear clean clothes, and stay at home with a smile because their cheerful children go to the bathroom happily.
However, when it comes to potty training in real life, it may feel a bit confusing (we are kidding, a lot of confusion!), and it is not perfect.
While reading and researching, your mind may already  potty training? Potty training based on schedule? You may know that the average age for toilet training is 27 months, but is your child ready?
Although we cannot answer all of these questions for you, we can provide you with some tips and suggestions so that you can better prepare for active potty training with your child.

Before you start

Before throwing away all the diapers, there are a few things you can do to prepare for a smoother potty training process.
Make sure your child shows signs of readiness. The "best" age without potty training.Rather, it is important to look for signs of the child’s growth and development. Instructions for your child to be ready to go to the toilet include:
Expressed interest in the toilet
Identify when their diapers are soiled
Keep the diaper dry for a longer time
Be able to pull up and down their pants on the body
Say it quickly. Make potty training sound exciting and discuss it often with your child.
Pretend to play . Help your child re-execute the potty process with dolls or other toys.

If you want to use the reward, please decide on the specific reward. Ideas might include stickers on charts, small toys or fruit snacks. In my case I offered my child a single MnM for  every success!
Store potty training supplies. This can include footstools, fun hand wash and underwear for older children.
Choose the type of potty for your child. There are many options for a child-friendly potty. Consider buying a separate child-sized toilet or an insert ring for a standard toilet. Some parents provide both to their children. Remember that portability is important when you are away, so please at least consider introducing a standard-size toilet (that's what I did).
Introduce the potty in a daunting way . Let your child sit on the potty, don’t expect him to actually use it. You might even want to start by using a potty chair in a place other than the bathroom.
Prepare for the accident. Make sure you have enough wet paper towels, paper towels, and cleaning spray, and cover all furniture that you don’t want to deal with later.
Make a potty-friendly schedule. Timely schedule the time to go to the toilet during the day and ensure that there is always an accessible bathroom when you are away.

The secret of toilet training

After finishing all the preparations, it is actually time to start the potty training process. Here are some tips to help you.Buckle up mama you can do this!!!!

Think about panties and pull-ups. This is a personal decision that depends on your child.
Wearing underwear is very motivational for some children and can make them more alert in the event of an accident. However, going directly to underwear can be troublesome. Some children may take a long time to do it at night.

Give many opportunities
. Make sure to provide children with toilets before meals, after meals, while awake and before going out. Paying attention to when they usually go can help you know when to encourage them to try.

Remember that time is everything
. If potty training is done on a schedule or time-based system, use technologies like timers and watches to make it fun and educational.

Use compliments freely. it works.

Give your child the appropriate choice. Do you want to go to the toilet before or after brushing your teeth? What kind of underwear do you want to wear?
Being able to control certain aspects of the process helps encourage them to invest more in potty training.

Change it! If you are frustrated, ask another adult to help. There is no shame in seeking support from your partner,.

Understand that regression can happen. Just keep trying... keep trying... keep trying...
You can stop trying if you know. If you or your child is really frustrated, you can take a breather and try again later. You hope this will be a positive experience for all participants.

You have skill

To receive comprehensive potty training, your child will need to master many self-care skills.
It may be useful to focus on individual skills during potty training and praise every skill your child can accomplish.
You may want to motivate certain skills, such as remembering to wash your hands or recognizing the need to go to the toilet.

Accidents can happen

Once potty training begins, it is important not to have perfect expectations right away. Potty training is a journey, and throughout the process, it is important for you to focus on your strengths and avoid shame. (This will not only help your child, but it will also help you to maintain a positive attitude.)

When an accident does occur, it is important to carefully consider the possible causes and how to resolve them. For example, accidents in bed are normal because it may take longer to train the potty overnight.
Getting your child to wear pull-on disposable (or reusable!) training pants while sleeping may help them get a better night’s sleep without worrying about them being ready to develop. You can also consider limiting drinking water at night and make sure they try to go to the bathroom before going to bed.
If your child is having trouble defecation on the potty, it may be helpful to find out if there is any fear. By discussing the whole process and alleviating their concerns, many children will benefit from it.
Please pay attention to when the accident occurred and resolve potential emotional issues, or make changes to the routine based on this information. In this case, the accident may only be successful through potty training!

This is a processs

Even if your child seems to have received comprehensive potty training, accidents still seem to happen. It must be admitted that accidents can happen to anyone, and it is important to avoid shame or guilt. Remember to praise and/or reward all the progress your child and yourself have made.
No matter how small the setback is, your child will eventually learn how to use the toilet. Each child has his own schedule. As you strive to achieve 100% consistency, you may face new challenges.
